The Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service

Climate change and environmental policy

The world is facing an existential crisis in drastic temperature shifts and weather patterns. Significant drought, warming oceans, and rising sea levels are all direct impacts of climate change in our environment.

The Foley Institute will be offering a course in the Fall of 2023 which will coincide with this year’s speaker series revolving around climate change. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the effects of climate change in our current world and the politics that surround it.

Our invited group of speakers will include activists and political experts from around the country who will discuss important climate issues facing America today. The class will include group discussions of current affairs that will enable students to be better informed about the controversial political environment which we live in today.

POL_S 320 will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:05pm-1:20pm. Pizza and soft drinks will be served.
