The 2022 election and current political issues

The upcoming 2022 midterm election is shaping up to be immensely consequential, as Republicans seek to overturn slim majorities in both houses of Congress.

Some of the issues that will be at the forefront of this campaign include the economy and inflation, immigration, gun control, the war in Ukraine, the Supreme Court and women’s reproductive health rights, climate change, and voting rights amongst others.

This class features a series of expert speakers from around the country who will discuss the elections and issues shaping the campaign. The class will include group discussions of current affairs that will enable students to be better informed about the controversial political environment in which we live today.

Tuesday/ Thursday 12:05 – 1:20pm. 308 Bryan Hall.
